The founding of Linum Charity in 2013 is based on:
Linum (Latin name for flax) refers to the roots of the Vanderbeke family, founders of Linum Charity. Flax, a noble product, produces beautiful and innovative products through daily labor and commitment. The flax sector is known for its entrepreneurial spirit that encourages solidarity and cooperation with human warmth. We wish to transmit these values within our group of companies and Linum Charity.
In 2013, we learned that a young and ambitious student was suffering from a serious eye disease, a rare condition for which scientists and the research community could not provide a cure. To this day, only stabilisation with a very expensive treatment is possible for the eye disease that was the basis of our founding.
Quality and commitment are our top priorities. With the belief that every life has equal value, we aim to improve the health and mobility of people with orphan diseases through financial or material support. Our assistance will often only be a fraction of what is needed, but such acts of solidarity significantly enhance the value of our daily business.
